My own corner of the internet — designed minimal, built for speed.
I build WordPress for clients — but my own site isn't WordPress, and that's deliberate. A portfolio has no editors, no plugins, no reason to carry a CMS. So I set myself a brief: design something warm and editorial in Figma, then ship it with nothing the page doesn't need.
I built it with Astro as a fully static site: zero JavaScript frameworks shipped, self-hosted variable fonts, responsive WebP generated at build, and CSS-only scroll animations. The homepage arrives in about 7kB of HTML and scores 100/100 on PageSpeed — served from the same ordinary shared hosting any WordPress site runs on. The right tool for each job: that is the point.
